Why Your Wedding Photography Is Important

After months of planning and anticipation for this most important of days -- your wedding day finally arrives and it is a success worth remembering. From the moment you awake until your last guests leave your reception hall, you'll experience this special day's events with heightened sensitivity of mind but especially with warmth of heart.

Your wedding day is a lifetime event, full of unique slices of life -- your life. Your wedding is also an expression of who you are, as individuals and as a couple. It is also the formal beginning of your new life together, as well as a statement to the world that a new commitment between two unique individuals now exists, with all that this can mean to those who came before you as well as for those who will follow you.

Your wedding day will be series of occurrences and special moments that will take place within a swirl of activity all around you, and you and your spouse-to-be will be its center of attention. Historically speaking, it is a day that will never occur again nor be exactly duplicated. So unique and special is your wedding day that, as you experience its moments and dwell upon them throughout that day, this will not only bring smiles to both of you but will also set both your hearts aglow.

But memories and their glow can fade with the natural ebb and flow of time, and even this day's special moments might not be easily recalled years later. Therefore one of the most important aspects of planning a wedding (whether it's your own or on behalf of another) is to secure the services of a professional wedding photographer who can capture the visual essence of your wedding day.

This is not to say that friends and relatives should not take photographs at your wedding. But few hobbyist or amateur photographers can successfully deal with the technical requirements, the pressures (sometimes contradictory), and the photographic responsibilities that the work of consistently producing memorable photographs of an on-going wedding day, filled with its special non-repeatable moments, will surely impose upon them. For although weddings follow a somewhat general pattern, each is unique and thus calls for constant visual alertness and the ability to adapt effectively -- as well as the need to sustain that level of effort and alertness, often for hours on end, as the flow of a wedding's events demand. Also, utilizing a professional wedding photographer allows your friends and relatives to enjoy your wedding without the responsibility of taking such important wedding photographs.

Your wedding photographs will not just be for you alone but for all those who could not be there -- for those who could not attend that day and for those, in the future, who may only experience your day through those pictures. After the wedding dress is packed away and the honeymoon is a sweet memory, you and they can open your Wedding Album to reminisce and/or enjoy the beautiful images of that extraordinary day. These pictures will become very important to both you and them. And twenty years from now those wedding photographs will probable become among your most-treasured mementoes of this once-in-a-lifetime event.
